Helping out Dad

Jay and I bought a desk as part of his birthday present, and he has been working on putting it together this week. Hannah was helping her Daddy last night by hitting the desk with her special hammer!

Learning to Crawl

Hannah has started to get up on all fours! She rocks back and forth and today she started to put one hand in front of the other. She still falls down, but she is working hard!

Playing in the Basket

Hannah discovered the laundry basket over the weekend. She kept trying to pull it close to her. Finally her Daddy decided to let her sit in the basket and play.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Jay turned 27 on Thanksgiving day. Mommy and Hannah got him 2 presents to open at home and over the weekend we bought a new desk for Daddy to use when he works at home. Hannah enjoyed helping Daddy open the presents and tearing the paper. It was a little preview of what Christmas will be like :)

Daddy's Girl

Hannah woke up extra early one Sunday morning. I gave her the usually morning bottle and then we went back to the bedroom to check on Daddy. He was still fast asleep. I told Hannah to wake Daddy up while Mommy got a quick shower. When I got back out, I found them both fast asleep! So much for waking Daddy up!

Jay

Something is seriously wrong with my husband!

Laundry Day

Sunday is usually laundry day at our house. On this particular Sunday, Hannah decided that she wanted to help Mommy with the clothes. She loved sitting in the giant pile and grabbing all of her favorite outfits. Daddy just had to snap a picture, and we are both hoping that this love of folding laundry doesn't wear off with age!

6 months old!!

Today Hannah is 6 months old. She went for her check up and weighed in at 17 lbs 2 oz. She has really grown in the past 6 months!! She also is 27 3/4 inches tall!! She had a big growth spurt since her last visit. She was not a happy girl when she had to get her shots, but she was brave and calmed down as soon as Mommy held her. Later that afternoon we took some pictures, and she decided to give her Daddy a kiss.

The Cutest Pumpkin

Hannah was a pumpkin this year for Halloween. She wore her costume all day at her school and then went to Abigail's house to trick or treat. By the end of the night, she and Champ were exhausted.

Dynamic Duo

Today we celebrated Champ and Allie's birthday! Champ is now 3 years old and Allie is 2. Allie got a bone and a new bed for her present. She has destroyed all her other beds in the past, so hopefully we will have better luck with this one. Champ got a crazy chicken toy that makes rooster sounds and is actually very annoying. We predict it will be about 2 days before it is destroyed. While out shopping we picked out Champ and Allie's Halloween costumes. Last year Allie was an elephant and Champ was a hotdog. This year we went for a theme and Champ will be Batman and Allie will be his sidekick Robin. The kids in the neighborhood love it when they come to the door and see the dogs dressed up!

Picking a Pumpkin with the Youngs

Today Hannah and I met the Young family at the pumpkin patch. We picked out a pumpkin and got some great pictures! Christian picked out a pumpkin for both the babies and everyone got to ride around the pumpkin patch in the wagon. It was a great afternoon!

Sitting Up All By Herself!!

Last Thursday Nana and Pops came over to eat dinner with us. Hannah was showing off for her Nana and trying to sit up by herself. Over the weekend at her Gigi's house, she continued to practice and she has finally gotten the hang of things. She can sit up by herself until she sees a toy that she wants and when she goes to grab it she falls over. This afternoon, while her Daddy took his run, Mommy and Hannah went to the park on our street to swing in the swings. We took Allie with us. Mommy hooked Allie's leash to the stroller at the park and she sat patiently and watched Hannah swing. Then we decided to get a few pictures on Hannah sitting up outside. As soon as I started to take the pictures Hannah discovered the grass for the first time. She couldn't stop staring at it and touching it. She loves to feel the textures of new things. We had a wonderful afternoon together at the park with Allie!

Swing Time!

Today Jay and I decided to take Hannah down the street to the park in our cul-de-sac. It has 2 sets of swings. One set is for the big kids and one set is for the little guys. Hannah LOVED being in the blue swing. She couldn't stop laughing as Daddy was pushing her and trying to catch her feet. She is loving being outside in the beautiful fall weather, and her mommy and daddy are loving watching her discover all the fun things in nature!

Tiger Baby!

Aunt Teri bought Hannah an adorable tiger suit to wear on gamedays. Hannah loved trying it on and taking pictures to remind her Daddy what team she goes for!!! :)

Roll Over

Hannah finally rolled over for the first time about 2 weeks ago. Now that she realizes she can do it there is no stopping her! She is rolling over all the time!!

War Eagle

Today after Mommy picked Hannah up from daycare we decided to make a picture for Daddy. Mommy put Hannah in her very special shirt, and we had a little photo shoot. The pictures came out really cute, so there is no doubt now that she is really an Auburn fan. Her first words may be "war eagle" after all!

Irish Angel

Michael, Dad, Cindy, and Erin all went to Orlando at the beginning of August. They brought back this cute t-shirt for Hannah. We thought it would be way too big, but when we put it on the other day it fit just right! I guess that Hannah is really a Murphy at heart.

Best Friends

There is not much to say with this picture...it pretty much explains itself. We couldn't have picked a better dog! Allie was too nervous to be in the picture of course :)

Cereal!!

After lots of pressure from her Nana, Hannah got her first bite of solid foods on Monday night. She didn't know what to do with the spoon that was coming toward her mouth. After a few days of practice she seems to be really getting the hang of things!

Christening

Hannah got christened last weekend in the same church that Jay and I got married in. Pastor Bob, who married Jay and me, did the christening. She had lots of special people at church. Her Gigi, Grandaddy, Uncle Tyler, Uncle Eli, Nana, Pops, PopPop, Nanny Cindy, Uncle Mike, Aunt Teri, Justin, and Sheila were all there. We were so nervous that Hannah was either going to scream or spit up, but she didn’t do either. Pastor Bob walked her all around the church and she just stared at all the people. We were so proud of her for being such a good girl on her big day!!

So tired....

Hannah loves to play on her mat, but on this particular morning she was so tired that she just fell asleep playing! Her new thing is to sleep with her thumb in her mouth. She knows that her Mommy can't pull it out while she's sleeping for fear that she will wake up. Instead of putting her other 4 fingers in a fist when her thumb is in her mouth, she puts them all up on her nose and face. She is so silly!
