NJ Trip - Abma's Farm

Nanny and PopPop took us to a farm that Michael and I used to go to when we were younger. You get to feed the rabbits and other animals. Hannah had a blast!

NJ Trip - Uncle Mike and Uncle Denis

Hannah had big fun with Uncle Mike on our trip. Uncle Mike, to the dismay of her mother, drew a funny face on Hannah's hand and he had a matching one to go with it. She liked to go into Uncle Mike's room in the morning and wake him up. Mommy

taught her how to pinch his nose to get him awake. Uncle Mike also let Hannah watch lots of TV, and we were able to catch this moment of the two of them cuddled on the couch. Hannah also got to spend time with Uncle Denis. She liked to sit on Uncle Denis' lap and pretend to ride a horsie. She also loved playing with Uncle Denis' dog Willy.

NJ Trip - The Airplane and The Pool

We went to New Jersey last week to visit my family. Hannah was very excited to fly on the airplane. She did a great job, and when we landed she got mad and said she wanted to go back in the sky. We went for a swim and Nanny and PopPop's house. They had a baby pool set up for Hannah, and Nanny got Hannah a special Dora chair, watering can, and bucket to play with. Uncle Mike decided to join Hannah in the baby pool, and Hannah had a blast pouring the water on his head. Nana took Hannah in the "big water", so Hannah could show off her swimming skills.

Hannah loved sitting on the Dora chair and kicking the water and she loved watering Nanny's plants.

Some Sad News...

Yesterday morning we received a call from the vet letting us know that Allie had passed away. She had been doing an amazing job recovering with her 3 legs, but the vet thinks a blood clot got to her lungs and there was nothing anyone could do. She has been such a loving addition to our home throughout the past 3 years. She was a great dog to take on walks. Shortly after Hannah was born, I would take her for walks in her stroller and Allie would walk right next to us protecting her baby. She loved to chase birds and squirrels in the yard, and occasionally she and Champ would catch one! She would come into Hannah's room with me every morning, and, as soon as Hannah got out of bed, she would kiss her face. Hannah was always telling us that Allie was her "favorite dog". We feel blessed that we had such a wonderful dog for 3 years, and all of us will really miss her.

Goggles and Glasses

Last night Mommy had a girls night with Auntie Teri and Auntie Heather. While Mommy was away, Hannah decided to tell Daddy that she had to go to the store. He asked her what he needed at the story, and she told him that she needs goggles and glasses. Since Hannah has Daddy wrapped around her finger, he took her to the store and bought her both goggles and glasses. She has been wearing them all morning!!

Allie

Over the weekend, our dog Allie was hit by a car. Jay found her on the side of the road and things weren't looking good. He sat with her and comforted her, and luckily we were able to get into contact with a local vet. He said the situation wasn't looking good, but he wanted to see if she could make it through the night. She made it through the night, but she had to have her right front leg amputated. She also has some serious skin wounds on her back. She has under-gone 2 operations, and today, for the first time, she walked on her 3 legs! We are so excited to get this news, but we know that she is not out of the woods yet. Until her skin wounds and amputation site heal, she has a risk of infection. Our house hasn't been the same without her, and her buddy Champ misses her the most. Hannah keeps telling him that Allie will be okay and will come home soon, and we hope she is right.

Our Beautiful Little Girl....

Today Shaniqua came over and did a photo shoot with Hannah. She has been showing me pictures that she has taken of the boys for years and they have always been wonderful, so we were so excited when she offered to do a shoot with Hannah. The pictures are AMAZING! She e-mailed me a sneak peek tonight and we are so happy!

Auntie Teri's Wedding

Saturday was Auntie Teri's big day! Hannah was such a good girl during the service, and once she found out we were going to a party afterwards she was VERY excited! She loved dancing the night away. She even found a buddy to dance with. As we were leaving, she told us that she wanted to go to Auntie Teri's wedding again tomorrow.

Swim Lessons!

This morning Hannah had her first swim lesson! She did wonderful! She was so excited that Jordan was going to be in her class :) We are so proud of our water bug. She blew bubbles in the water and even climbed out of the pool at the end! What a big girl!!

A Day at the Zoo

Last weekend we took Hannah to the zoo! She loved seeing all the animals, and telling us what they were. It was a beautiful day and a great family outing!

Hannah's Birthday Party

We had Hannah's party the Sunday after her birthday. She was SO excited about her party. She had a blast with all of her friends. They played in her kitchen and outside on the new playground. She was so happy!!

Hannah turned 2 at the beginning of this month! These are some pictures of Hannah on her actual birthday! She got a new playground with a slide for the backyard. She loves to play out there, and she especially loves to have Champ and Allie out there with her as she plays!!
