Daddy and Me Music Class?

Hannah and I are taking a music class this summer on Thursday afternoons. Last Thursday, I had to take a class for work and couldn't make the class. Her daddy decided to help out and take Hannah to class. I didn't mention the dancing part before they went. My little spies in the class took some pictures and sent them over and they turned out great. It looks like Hannah and Daddy had a great time in class after all!

Father's Day with the Leech Family!

Today was officially Jay's 2nd Father's Day. He enjoyed a relaxing day of reading and playing with Hannah. We went to the Leech house for dinner, and enjoyed some yummy hamburgers! Hannah was not interested in eating...she had bigger plans like playing outside. She loved playing outside in Mrs. Leech's garden and even decided that she was going to water the flowers. Miss Traci blew some bubbles and tried to teach nervous Hannah how to pop them with her hands. Before we pulled out of the neighborhood, Hannah was out cold in the backseat of the car....she had a blast!

The Balloon

This evening, we went to the corner of good food and good times for dinner. The host kindly gave Hannah a blue balloon. She was very excited about the balloon and Mommy and Daddy had to hide it from her when the food came so that she would concentrate on eating. The whole car ride home and the rest of the evening in the house, Hannah would not let the balloon go! Right before bedtime, she tried to put the balloon down on the floor....of course the balloon flew up and she was heart broken. She right away went to her Daddy and pulled on his shirt to get the balloon down!

The Backyard Stand Off

Tonight we all decided to get some fresh air in the backyard. One of Hannah's favorite games is finding the dog's ball in the backyard. Tonight was a little different because Champ decided it was time to reclaim his toy. Hannah could not believe that her doggie wouldn't give her the ball. However, in the end, when Hannah finally got the ball back, she decided to share it with her favorite furry friend.

The Bunny Chase

This evening Hannah and I were about to read a story when we heard our dogs going crazy!! We ran out to the living room, and we saw a baby bunny right outside our front door. Hannah started to bang on the glass door and the baby bunny took off running. We went outside to see if we could find the bunny again. Hannah was peeking around the corner, but we didn't see him. I told her that we could go in the backyard and ride her bike instead. She was very excited until she decided to climb on her bike which her Daddy has told her several times not to do. She decided to run instead...

The Diva

We spent some time over Memorial Day weekend at Aunt Lib's pool. Hannah wasn't too excited about the pool, but she loved watching the kids splash from the comfort of her lounge chair. She really liked it when she could enjoy some cookies and milk :)

Church with Nana!

This morning we met Nana at church. Hannah was wearing a very pretty dress that her Auntie Janis gave to her back in the spring. She has finally grown into it, and we could tell that she felt pretty wearing it. She likes to walk/run everywhere she goes, including our backyard where she fell and scratched her nose up! She would hold Daddy's hand for a little while and then she was off and running to go explore some new things. We are excited to have the whole summer to play together!

Pool Time!!

Last night Jay and I bought Hannah a little pool for the backyard. With the help of some friends in the neighborhood, we got it blown up this afternoon for some pool time. Hannah was checking out the pool closely before she decided she wanted to go in. She had a blast, and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed relaxing with their feet in the cool water. We are so excited to spend time this summer playing in the pool and hopefully inviting some buddies over to play in the pool too!!

1 Year Old!

It's hard to believe that my baby is already 1 year old. I spent the day thinking about where we were a year ago, and it brought tears to my eyes. Last year at this time I couldn't believe that I was actually going to take home this little girl, and I only started to realize how much I loved her. We spent a wonderful day together for her birthday. Auntie Teri bought her a special shirt to wear to let everyone know that she was the birthday girl. We went to lunch with Nana, and we went to dinner with Daddy and Auntie Heather. We had a big birthday bash on Saturday, and lots of her friends and family came to celebrate with her. We have been so blessed this year, and I know we will be for years to come.

New Look....

I decided to give the blog a new look....chang it up a bit! Hannah's Gigi bought her a new dress last weekend. She got to debut it this weekend at church. She loves to show off when she is dressed up! Daddy and I had a hard time keeping her still to get a good picture!

A Visit from the Grandparents!

Today Hannah's Gigi, Grandaddy, Uncle Eli, and Uncle Tyler came to visit with her. When she woke up from her nap there were lots of familiar faces in the living room waiting to play with her. She was her usual busy self, but stopped for a break to read with her grandparents. Hannah loves stories and I know she loved having her Grandaddy read to her about puppies!

End of March and Spring Break

Well we are already in to April! It won't be long until Hannah is 1 year old!! The time has FLOWN by so fast. People always told me that it would, but of course I didn't believe it. This year has been such a whirlwind. Here are some pictures from the end of March. Tippy came and stayed with us while Nana was recovering. Hannah LOVES doggies. It's hard for her to understand that not all doggies love her back. Tippy was on her best behavior and let Hannah do "gentle" on her head. Hannah also learned a new skill this month...picking her nose!! She totally gets that from her Daddy!! We spent our Spring Break with the Wood family on Fripp Island. They invited us to spend the week at their family's beach home, and we had a blast! Hannah loves playing with her buddy Ella, and of course she fell in love with their dog Charlie right away. We enjoyed a few days at the beach, more ice cream than any human should ever eat, and some quality time with Nintendo Wii. It was a great trip that flew by too fast! Enjoy the pictures!
